Sunday is looking like a dry and sunny day. Our volunteers will be clearing the roadside verge in readiness for next month when we will be planting 720 new Hedgerow trees. All trimmed and tidy
The Old Ford Meadow Autumn cut has been completed. The focus of activity for the next few months will now be on work on the woodland.

Thanks to the volunteers who turned out in the rain this morning to plant out our new wet woodland plants provided by . The recent rain has softened the ground in the hollow where the plants have been settled in.

New homes for the Natives! This Sunday we'll be looking to settle in native wetland plants in the woodland to improve the biodiversity further. Arriving in the heat of July volunteers have kept them cool and wet ready for planting out.

The next meeting of the Old Ford Group will be on Thursday 3 September at 7pm in the Village Hall Committee room. We have a busy Autumn ahead of us so lots to plan and get enthusiastic about after this long hot and very dry Summer.
The meeting is open to everyone so please come along if you would like to find out more about getting involved we would love to see some new faces
