A fantastic result from our recent recruitment evening with South East Hertfordshire division!

We welcomed members of the local community to an adult taster session, where they had the opportunity to try activities including mixology, camping and outdoor skills, first aid, and craft.

We're delighted that the event generated 5 new volunteer enquiries, including 1 individual who has expressed an interest in opening a Rainbow unit. A wonderful outcome and a great example of how showcasing our activities can inspire new volunteers to get involved. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success!

We're celebrating girls today and every day. Here's to confidence, courage, friendship and endless possibilities ✨

Did you know Girlguiding girls are, on average, 30% more confident than UK girls? Together, we're helping girls build the confidence to speak up, try new things and be their best selves.

💛 I’m a Brownie, get me out of here!

In May, 1st Beccles Brownies headed to Stoke Ash for an action-packed weekend inspired by I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Split into three Australian-themed teams, the Brownies had to work together to earn stars, with the winning team crowned the Queens of the Jungle!

Challenges included the frozen t-shirt challenge, an eating trial and tackling a mystery box. They also enjoyed an Australian-themed game and some crafty activities on Saturday afternoon.

Well done Brownies, you were all brilliant!

What adventures has your unit been getting up to? Share them with us below! 👇

🌟 Meet our county commissioner for Norfolk: Yvonne Kemp! 🌟

Yvonne has been a leader of guiding for 45 years and joined guiding as a Brownie many years ago!

She is currently a Rainbows, Brownie and Guide leader – weekly meetings, residential events and outings being part of the agenda. For the units she is a caterer, first aider, finance or parent liaison as the need arises.

Her proudest moment is hard to choose with achieving her Queen’s Guide award, standing on Our Chalet steps with her mum, a fellow leader, and seeing her daughters achieve their Queen’s Guide awards being definite stand out moments.

We’re so proud to have Yvonne leading Norfolk with such experience, dedication and kindness.
