The Sound House

We are so massively and stupendously proud of our young superstars here at The Sound House, performing their own original song ‘Boneheads’.

It’s the first time they’ve done it without Chris or Jay performing with them, the stabilisers have come off! And they’re doing fantastic.

We hope you enjoy this song they’ve written and make sure to leave lots of encouraging comments so we can tell them what you think!

Do you want your child to join them? Do they have an interest in music and audio and making noise? Bring them down for a session to play on our instruments! They can join via the youth club for only £5 per year.

Every Tuesday at Colne Youth Action Group from 6:30pm until 8pm.

It’ll be great to see you!

If you have a business and you’re raising money for charity, it’s 10% goodwill and 90% promo and marketing. This isn’t to say that it’s a bad thing at all because it raises awareness of the charity and also raises awareness of your business so it’s mutually beneficial. I work with young pe...

This week at The Sound House we’ve started recording an original audio production. We started by recording drums and made it into a loop.

Listening back to that loop, we recorded ethereal singing, recorders, percussion, cheek popping and even shouting!

We always like to give our young expressionists the freedom to record what they feel sounds best and it’s turning out to be quite an exciting sound with lots more to come.

If you have a young person age 10-16 who likes the idea of this, we’d love to have them come along and join our vibrant group at Colne Youth Action Group. We’re on Byron Road in Colne and it’s only £5 per year 💪

We like to cater for every kind of sound-based experiences and activities here at The Sound House and in our last session, we produced a full podcast episode!

We created a quick jingle, had a vocal performance, instrument comparisons, spoke about confidence, the enjoyment of music and edited it all.

Keep your ears peeled for the recording coming soon!

Today we’ve had Rob in from Ashworth Haus Audio! He’s a powerhouse of a producer, with lots of exciting music under his belt recorded, released and admired. More importantly, he runs his own professional studio and he’s helping us build the best one we can in our space, to create something amazing for our local community. We want our community to have the best recording and rehearsal space in the area, so if you’re interested in sponsoring us to help with the process please get in touch!

🎶 Exciting things are happening at The Sound House! 🎶

Today we welcomed Rob from Ashworth Haus Audio, who very kindly gave his time to provide a free consultation on the equipment we'll need to take our vision to the next level.

Our ambition is to create a community music hub with a professional recording studio and a dedicated live performance and rehearsal space where young people can learn, create, collaborate and develop their musical talents.

A huge thank you to Rob for sharing his expertise. He's now putting together a detailed equipment plan and costings, which will help us begin applying for funding and grants to make this exciting project a reality.

We're incredibly grateful for the support of local businesses and professionals who believe in investing in opportunities for young people. We can't wait to share the next steps with you! 🎤🎸🎧

Could you help shape the future of The Sound House?

We're looking for local businesses, musicians, music industry professionals and community champions who would like to become founding supporters of this exciting project. Whether you'd like to sponsor a room, fund a piece of equipment or help us create a dedicated creative space for young people, we'd love to hear from you.

Together, we can build a place where the next generation of musicians, producers, songwriters and performers can thrive. 🎶
