💚 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY – LIVED EXPERIENCES HEARD 💚
Today, for World Mental Health Day, we want to celebrate this year’s theme: Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change
At Men Talk, WALK and TALK, We Evolve Project and Breaking Cycles CIC we believe that sometimes the most powerful support comes from people who have been there themselves.
Maj, Stuart William Craig and Philip Wade have their own lived experiences of mental health struggles. They understand that life isn’t always easy, that everyone has their battles, and that sometimes just having someone who genuinely understands can make all the difference.
💚 That’s what makes them brilliant at what they do.
They don’t just talk about mental health from a book or a classroom. They understand the importance of creating safe spaces where people can open up, feel listened to, share their experiences and realise they’re not alone.
Whether it’s through walking, cycling, talking, coming together as men, or using physical activity to support our wellbeing, the message is always the same: you don’t have to face life’s challenges on your own.
There’s no judgement, no pressure to talk, and no expectation to have all the answers. Sometimes it’s about having a laugh, getting outside, meeting new people, or simply knowing there’s someone there who cares.
Our lived experiences don’t have to define us. They can help us connect with others, understand their struggles and turn some of our hardest moments into something positive.
A massive thank you to everyone who supports what we do, everyone who shows up, and everyone who has the courage to share their story. ❤️
