🗣Come down to CYAG next Wednesday to talk to other volunteers and organisations who can help you to know more!

If you are booked into our holiday club tomorrow (Breakout Colne, for our own members) please try to bring a bottle of water! We plan on going for a short walk but its very hot so you'll need to hydrate!

Yesterday we attended a tree planting event next to FisherMore RCHS Sport. This was with ReWild Yourself (RWY), a charitable initiative by the Voice for Nature Foundation. It was a lovely afternoon despite the heat 🥵 🔥

We learned so much. The lovely gentleman talked to us about how the plant the trees so close together because there are studies to confirm that when you do this they have to compete for sun and grow super tall super fast. He said that in addition their roots begin to make contact and then the trees will communicate with one another 😱

He offered us trowels but when he talked about how getting in the mud with your hands has so many physical and mental health benefits, most of us were sold on planting by hand. 👏

Thanks so much to all our volunteers and young people who turned up to help!

Tomorrow we have our Parkrun at 9am at Alkinoates.

Then we will meet our Weekends Wanderers at 10am to finally resume our Pendle Way. This week is leg three from Earby to Laneshawbridge and is approximately 5.5 miles.

The weather is set to be hot so please bring plenty to drink, sun cream and suitable clothing for the weather.
