In collaboration with Up and Active, Pendle Leisure Trust's walking programme is aimed at giving people that helping hand if they are just beginning with a gentle stroll or if they want to progress on and explore the surrounding areas.

Do you sing, play an instrument, entertain, or simply love bringing joy to others? We’re looking for local performers to audition for our monthly Melodies & Memories sessions at The Muni Theatre. These are uplifting music, dancing and community events designed especially for people who may feel socially isolated or just enjoy the company of others.

🧡Brenda is one of our incredible Up and Active clients, taking part in the Cardiac Rehabilitation programme at Pendle Leisure Centre. In this video, she shares her journey experiencing a stroke, followed by problems with her heart, to achieving more than she ever imagined possible. Her story is a powerful reminder of what determination and the right support can do for your health and well-being.

The 12-week Cardiac Rehabilitation programme aims to support individuals who have experienced a cardiac episode. Clients learn about safe, effective exercise in a controlled, supervised group, helping them build confidence, resume the activities they enjoy and feel in control of their condition. Alongside gentle exercise, the programme aims to support individuals with their overall well-being, offer emotional support and offer the chance to meet people who have been through similar experiences.
