Our new WM Daniel Hunt kicked off his season in style last night with a relatively quick meeting. W.Bro. Ian Duxbury of Pendle Lodge delivered one of his lectures on the first degree aimed at our Entered Apprentice Mick Waddington.
The evening was well received by the brethren. Our social board was just that, very social with a great meal to enjoy. The evening ended at a sensible time with a few of us taking in a whisky or two

Well that went well. Including Bob Parsons who is a member of both Queens and Roses Lodge there were seven of us at practice last night. Or should I say visited Roses Lodge. The idea worked well and both the Lodge room and Social board were more enjoyable with 8 visitors in total. We met several new Freemasons from Roses who enjoyed our company. We should do this again.

Instead of going to Queen's jubilee lodge practice, the WM has decided we should all support Roses Lodge and attend their meeting instead. Sounds like a plan.

Very good meeting at Marsden within Pennine Valley Lodge. Over 20+ visitors from east and west Lancashire including 4 from Queens Jubilee for a Christmas Lodge meeting at Padiham. The festive social board was excellent with lots of roast beef followed by sticky toffee pudding. A surprise game of bingo and a raffle raised a princely sum for charity.

Four of us are off to Marsden within Pennine Valley Lodge this evening. They are having a Christmas dinner at the social board. The third of the festive season for me so far. Looking forward to seeing members of these two original Nelson Lodges. It always feels like home at Padiham Masonic hall

Queens Jubilee Lodge installed its new master at their December installation meeting. In fact two new wardens and a new DC were also installed along with a full complement of officers. It was a major success and turning point for the future of the Lodge.
The ceremony delivered superbly well by the officers concerned and our installing inner guard stole the show with his unique long version of the address to the brethren. Great job Dave.
The social board was a very enjoyable affair with our new Junior Warden singing the masters song accompanied by a very enthusiastic pianist. It was a super event enjoyed by everyone there. We won't be waiting another 10 years before we do this again.

Big changes today for Queens Jubilee Lodge. We will have a brand new Worshipful Master, Junior Warden and Director of Ceremonies. When I say brand new I mean first time in office. I think it will do the Lodge a power of good. We have over 30 staying for the festival of St John after the meeting. Really looking forward to the day and meeting everyone for the ceremony.
