Today, we celebrate Eid Al-Adha - a special occasion that reflects the values of compassion, sacrifice, generosity, and care for others. Eid reminds us of the importance of supporting one another and strengthening our communities.

At New Routes Fostering, we recognise and celebrate the diversity of the children, carers, and communities we support. We are proud to stand alongside everyone celebrating this important occasion.

Wishing all those celebrating a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Eid filled with love, kindness, and togetherness.

We organised a wonderful day trip to West Midlands Safari Park for our fostering community in 🤩

17 adults and 11 children had a fun filled day together. The children were especially excited to see different animals up close, many of which they had only seen on television before.
Their smiles, curiosity and excitement made the day extra special. 🫶

The trip was a lovely reminder of what fostering is all about - giving children safe, caring and supportive experiences where they can feel happy, valued and able to thrive. Foster carers play an essential role in providing loving and stable homes and we could not be more grateful to our foster carers for their compassion and dedication. 💚

With the BBC warning about the hot weather starting from today and schools breaking up for one-week at the same time, New Routes Fostering would like to remind all foster carers and families to stay safe during the heat ☀️

As children will be spending more time at home, please make sure they drink plenty of water and stay cool during the day. Light clothes, shade, and regular drinks can help children stay safe in hot weather.

Please also be careful when opening windows and doors to keep the house cool. Children should not be left alone near open windows, or other potential hazards to help prevent accidents.

Let’s all work together to keep children safe, healthy, and happy during the warm weather !
