🏠 Helping young people understand homelessness

Last week, as communities marked World Homeless Day, Adele was visiting schools and helping pupils explore what homelessness can mean for people in their communities.

📍St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, Chelmsley Wood
📍St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Wolverhampton

The sessions encourage young people to understand some of the realities of homelessness, discover the work of Tabor Living Birmingham and think about how we can all show compassion and take positive action. 💙

Because awareness shouldn't be limited to just one day.

We’re sad to see Bishop Tim leave Birmingham, but delighted for him as he begins this new chapter.

He has been a great friend and supporter of Father Hudson’s Caritas and Tabor Living, generously giving his time and championing our work.

Thank you for all your support, Bishop Tim. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you every blessing in Brentwood. 💙

Pope Leo XIV appoints Bishop Timothy Menezes as new Bishop of Brentwood

We are absolutely delighted to hear the news that Bishop Timothy Menezes has been appointed as the new Bishop of Brentwood.

Bishop Tim played a significant role in the opening of Tabor Living before we welcomed our first guests in September 2017. Since then, he has been a regular volunteer at Tabor, generously giving his time each week and being a passionate advocate for people experiencing homelessness across Birmingham.

His kindness, compassion and unwavering commitment to serving others have touched the lives of so many people within our community.

On behalf of everyone at Tabor Living, we offer our heartfelt congratulations and prayers as he begins this new chapter of ministry. We know he will bring the same dedication, humility and care to the Diocese of Brentwood that he has shown here in Birmingham.

Last Sunday St Filumena's Catholic Primary School, Caverswall did something amazing! 😍

While most people might be enjoying an easy Sunday morning children, parents and staff from the school took on the Potters Arf. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️👟

St Filumena's smashed their original fundraising target, and have currently raised £2013 for us. If you'd like to donate there's still time to give on their JustGiving page 🔗👇
