The theme of Infant Mental Health week for 2026 is attunement, ie 'the psychological and emotional process of being deeply present, responsive, and in sync with another person's inner world'.

Every baby is born ready for connection. 💕

Attunement is the quiet magic that happens when a parent notices their baby’s cues — a wriggle, a cry, a smile — and responds with warmth.

At Home‑Start Causeway, we celebrate these tiny moments of “I see you, I hear you, I’m here.”

Because this is how trust grows, how brains develop, and how relationships flourish. 💛

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Causeway Volunteer Centre for inviting us to be part of their celebrations for National Volunteers' Week.
We were delighted to attend and to receive our awards from the new Mayor of the Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Huggins.

Calling all parents of children aged 3–5!
Researchers at Ulster University (NICHE & School of Psychology) are exploring how parents view food labels.
If you’re a parent or caregiver of a child aged 3–5 years (36–60 months), who regularly buys, prepares, or serves meals, and can attend a 30-minute session at Ulster’s Coleraine Campus, we’d love to hear from you.
Participants can enter a raffle to win one of six £30 vouchers.
