💙 Phyllis McVey Community Spirit Award 💙
Phyllis was someone who truly represented what community spirit is all about. With her heart of gold, warm smile and willingness to lend a helping hand, she gave so much to the community she loved.
Our Community Spirit Award was introduced in Phyllis’s memory to recognise those who continue to make a positive difference in our local area.
This year, we were delighted to present the award to Patsy’s Bar in recognition of their incredible generosity and the phenomenal amount of money raised for local charities and good causes, including our very own Men’s Club.
The presentation was made all the more special by the connection to Phyllis’s late partner, Jimmy Gamble, who was a much-loved regular at Patsy’s Bar, a friend to so many. It was lovely to recognise the work of Patsy’s Bar while also remembering Phyllis and Jimmy, two people who meant so much to our local community.
A huge thank you to Colin, Mark and everyone at Patsy’s Bar, along with their loyal customers, for the difference they continue to make through their fundraising and support of local causes.
Congratulations on a very deserving award, and thank you for keeping the community spirit alive.
