It only feels right to end the week with a GIANT good news story💚
As we welcome hundreds of thousands of local visitors and international tourists to the World Heritage Site each year, you can imagine we gather up quite the collection of lost property...
From gloves, hats and coats, to jewellery, mobile phones, and our most memorable find yet...a full set of false teeth!🫢
For the hundreds of items that go unclaimed, our incredible Warehouse team carefully gathers everything together and donates it to the Age NI Store Coleraine, where items are sorted and given a second life (don't worry, no false teeth made the journey!😂)
Age NI is Northern Ireland's leading charity for older people, offering vital support, advice, day/home care services, and advocating for their rights to help them live independently, stay connected and thriving. Gordon and Joe were delighted to recently deliver 2 full cages for the 7th year running!💚
It doesn't stop there! The Warehouse team also delivered 2 years' worth of lost glasses/sunglasses to Specsavers' Coleraine store! Each pair will be tested, tagged and sent out to communities in developing countries, where there is limited to no access to optical care👓
