This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who make Camp Jojo possible — the volunteers who give their time, energy, compassion and skills to help families caring for children with complex needs and life-limiting conditions create magical memories together.

From helping build accessible camping experiences to offering friendship, laughter and support, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re still looking for a Catering Manager to support in delivering accessible camping experiences for families with children who have complex disabilities and life-limited conditions. 💚

This is more than a catering role. It’s an opportunity to help remove barriers so families can enjoy rest, connection and joyful outdoor experiences together.

If you have experience in school, church, event, community or camp catering — please apply. We especially welcome people who are organised, proactive, compassionate and comfortable supporting volunteers and diverse family needs.

We’re urgently looking for a Catering Manager to join the incredible team at this summer. 💚

This role is about far more than food. You’ll help create safe, welcoming and accessible camping experiences for families who have children with complex disabilities and life-limited conditions — enabling families to relax, connect and make memories together.

If you have experience in school, church, event, community or camp catering, we’d love to hear from you. This could be ideal for someone organised, compassionate and confident working independently while supporting volunteers and families.

📍 Cumbria
💷 £15–£18 per hour
🕒 Minimum 50 hours between June–September each year
📅 Annual fixed-term project role

Do you have catering experience? Live in the Cumbria Area? Looking for some part-time work over the summer?

Catering Manager (Cumbria)

Pay: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience
Fixed Term: June 2026 – 1st week in September 2026
Hours: A minimum of 50 for the duration of the project

We need an organised and proactive Catering Manager to oversee catering at our Nag’s Head Farm, Cumbria (CA16 6TD) site during our Summer 2026 camps.

You will plan and adapt menus, order and manage food supplies, support volunteers and ensure all dietary, allergy and food safety requirements are met and attend three camps in July and August 2026.

We’re very happy to introduce the newest member of the Camp Jojo team — Jemma Gregory, who joined us last month as our new Programme Manager.

As Camp Jojo enters an exciting new phase, with camps now running across two sites, (Essex and Cumbria) Jemma will play a key role in supporting this growth and helping ensure our camps deliver the same high‑quality experience for families and volunteers at both locations.

Jemma brings a wealth of experience from across the charity sector, including leading services that support children with additional needs and their families.
We’re absolutely delighted to have Jemma as part of the Camp Jojo team — welcome! 💛
