• Understand changes to your own personal circumstances

This service is delivered in partnership by Mid and North East Essex Mind and Suffolk Mind.

Have you ever tried VR for your mental wellbeing?

TEND VR is a mindfulness-based virtual reality programme designed to support people experiencing low mood, anxiety or negative thinking patterns.

Using a VR headset in a calm, supported setting, you can learn practical techniques to help manage your thoughts, reduce stress and build confidence at your own pace.

We’re offering a free introductory session, so you can try VR, ask questions and see whether TEND feels right for you before committing to the full programme.

☀️ A gentle reminder during the warmer weather.

Some mental health medication, including some antidepressants and antipsychotics, can make it harder for your body to regulate temperature in the heat.

This does not mean you should stop taking your medication. Please don’t stop or change your dose without speaking to your GP, pharmacist or mental health team.

Try to drink plenty of water, stay cool, avoid direct sun where you can, and check in on anyone who may be more vulnerable during hot weather.

If you feel dizzy, confused, sick, very tired or unwell in the heat, move somewhere cooler, drink water and seek advice if needed.

Please share so others can stay safe 💙

Journaling can be a useful way to notice what we’re feeling, make sense of our thoughts, and take a bit of time for ourselves.

This summer, our community partner Tiptoe Training is launching free monthly journaling groups in Clacton-on-Sea.

The groups offer a supportive space to try journaling and creative writing, meet others, and explore wellbeing in a gentle, practical way.

Please note, these groups are not hosted or facilitated by Mid and North East Essex Mind. We’re sharing this to help people find out about local wellbeing support.
