In case you missed it, we will NOT be holding the physical dog shows at Bark in the Park this year as it is far too hot. However the show goes on and we'd love to see pictures of your dogs and you can enter our virtual dog shows with Rosettes and great prizes to be won.

The family fun day should be amazing with fairground rides, entertainment, food drink and some fantastic stalls.

See you there (without your dog) πŸ™‚πŸ’™πŸΎ

β˜€οΈ IMPORTANT HEATWAVE UPDATE: BARK IN THE PARK 2026 β˜€οΈ

With a beautiful, hot heatwave forecast for Bank Holiday Monday (25th May), we are expecting a fantastic turnout at Lower Castle Park! We can’t wait to see you all for a busy, sun-soaked Family Fun Day. 😎

However, your dog’s safety is our absolute priority. Because dogs can't handle these high temperatures, we will not be holding physical dog show classes this year. Instead, we want you to leave your dogs safe and cool in the shade at home, and bring a photo of your dog to enter our VIRTUAL DOG SHOW! πŸ“ΈπŸΆ

πŸ† What you need to know:

Virtual Photo Classes: Best Boy, Best Girl, Cutest Puppy, Golden Oldie (Over 7), Best Rescue, Perfect Pedigree, and Cutest Cross-Breed.

Still Going Ahead: The children's "Dress as Your Favourite Animal" competition is still on! πŸ‘—πŸ―

Cancellations: Because they require dogs to be physically present, the Musical Sit Game and Young Handler competitions are cancelled.

Tickets: Β£3.50 per class online / Β£4 on the day.

Let's enjoy the sunshine, keep our pets safe, and see who takes home the wonderful rosettes and prizes! See you there! πŸ‘‹
