Enable East is an innovative, independent NHS team hosted by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, with services delivered across the UK. Our team comprises of a wide pool of experienced, independent associates that assist organisations within a wide variety of sectors to deliver effective projects with measurable improvements to services. Many of our Associates are highly skilled NHS

professionals with a clinical background at Director or senior manager level so our offer to health, social care and community/voluntary sector organisations is particularly broad. We offer a flexible alternative to commercial management consultants, as Enable East offers deep industry expertise and a fresh pair of eyes at competitive NHS rates. The team also has significant experience of working within a grant funding environment, leading on grant applications and subsequent delivery of projects in a coproduction model, often alongside locally based delivery partners.

Goodbye for now

Enable East is suspending its operations on 31 March 2026 due to changes in the NHS and Local Government affecting its funding. We will keep you informed if this situation changes and Enable East becomes operational again in the future.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of delivering programmes with real social impact such as HeadsUp, Multiply, and more recently Step Forward. In the past few years, these initiatives have supported over 2,500 Essex Residents across our communities to gain essential life skills, build confidence and resilience, and access equal opportunities for employment. We are hugely proud of the positive difference our programmes have made to learners' lives, and are grateful to our fantastic team and leadership.

We are now FULLY BOOKED!

After delivering 2 days of the Step Forward Employment Programme in partnership with Southend Libraries we now only have one more fully booked programme to deliver at Rochford Hospital.

Thank you to the amazing Community Development Officer Gio at Southend Libraries for once again working with us.

We will be continuing to support all of the young people who have taken part in the programme, to gain employment in healthcare, up until the end of the project on 31st March 2026.

Wow. What a great two days we have had at Westcliff library, working in partnership with Southend City Council.

We delivered our healthcare employment programme to a group of 18-30 year olds. We will now work with them one-to-one to support them to get jobs in health, or social care.

Do you live in Southend? We are excited to share that we will be delivering our employment programme at Westcliff library, in partnership with SCC.

If you are unemployed and aged 18-30, and live in Southend or Basildon your are invited to apply to for a place. You will need to attend two sessions at Westcliff library on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th November 10-1.30pm. After this we will work with you one-to-one to support you in getting into health, or social care jobs.
