Remembering the Battle of Arnhem
81 years ago this month, British and Allied forces launched Operation Market Garden, one of the most daring missions of the Second World War. The Battle of Arnhem became a story of immense bravery and sacrifice, with soldiers holding the line against overwhelming odds.
For the veteran community, Arnhem is not just history. It is a reminder of courage and resilience that still lives on within our service personal today.
At the AFBC, we honour those who fought at Arnhem by supporting today’s service personnel and veterans in building their futures. Just as they stood together in 1944, we stand together now, keeping their legacy alive.
“A bridge too far” became the phrase, but the courage shown was immeasurable.
How does the memory of Arnhem inspire you today? Share your thoughts below and let’s keep the legacy alive.
