Join Signals for our Digital Harwich Future Evening! We are celebrating three years of filmmaking, animation, coding and more, and we would love your help to shape what comes next.

Come along to try some digital activities, celebrate the young people receiving awards and share your ideas. What would you like to see happening in Harwich?

Everyone is welcome, including families, teachers and community groups. You do not need to have taken part before.

This week, as part of our Paul Hamlyn Foundation Funding project to incorporate digital education into classrooms, we had the pleasure of developing stop motion animation films. 🎦
These films represent connections between the Caribbean and Britain through moving image. 🖼️🎥💻

Over three days, the group will explore some of the stories, legends and hidden history of Framlingham Castle, learn filmmaking skills and work together to create a short film.

No previous filmmaking experience is needed at all. It’s really for anyone who is interested in film, history, storytelling or just trying something creative.

Applications are now open for History Behind the Haunts, a free 3-day filmmaking School for young people aged 14–18.

Over three days, the group will explore some of the stories, legends and hidden history of Framlingham Castle, learn filmmaking skills and work together to create a short film.

No previous filmmaking experience is needed at all. It’s really for anyone who is interested in film, history, storytelling or just trying something creative.

The project will take place on 29th, 30th and 31st October at Framlingham Castle and is completely free to take part in.

Explore the art of photography in celebration of World Photography Day. 📸🌍

Participants will be capturing images that reflect their own ideas, interests and surroundings.

Participants can bring their own camera or borrow one of ours and experiment with how different moments can be seen and recorded through a lens. 🖼️

**please note we hope to visit Castle Park so please make sure you are wearing clothes appropriate to the weather.**
