Today is World Mental Health Day, an opportunity to talk about mental health and show everyone that it matters πŸ’›

At The Boys' Brigade, we partner with local Churches in communities across the country to provide children and young people with a sense of belonging, structure and routine, and trusted relationships that they can rely on - all things which evidence tells us are important for protecting their mental health.

Over the last year we have partnered with YoungMinds, the UK's leading charity for children and young people's mental health, to raise funds for their vital work and to provide our groups with new support and resources - helping their young people to feel welcome, to know that they matter and that they're not alone πŸ™

Behind the smiles, social media posts and busy lives, many young people are carrying big questions in their head about who they are, whether they matter, and what the future holds.

As we look towards World Mental Health Day next month, our Chief Executive Jonathan Eales explores how The Boys' Brigade partners with Churches across the country to create spaces where young people feel known, valued and safe.

Recognising the scale of the crisis, Jonathan also looks at our work with YoungMinds, the UK's leading mental health charity for young people, giving leaders practical, trusted resources to use with their groups, as well as encouraging them to get involved in our Fundraising Challenge to support YoungMinds' vital work.
