Stonebridge Works Update - if you haven't driven past or live near enough to hear pile driving began today. This is the start of the new structure to be built on the north side of the existing bridge.

This section will be wide enough to carry a temporary lane of traffic, allowing traffic to continue using the existing bridge while construction progresses.

Unfortunately there has been a delay is commencing this phase of work which will lengthen the overall schedule.

Thank you to our super dooper volunteer Clive for building a new Log Lodge for the many species of bugs, insects and invertebrates which thrive on the Green. It's similar to a Bug Hotel but there's no room service! 😉

We are using all the material from our own maintenance jobs and the ECC Highways work taking place at Stone Bridge to form natural barriers and habitats for wildlife.

⚠️ When you visit please don't climb on log piles as you could disturb the animals who are moving in ahead of the winter and take a tumble yourself ⚠️

If you would like to get involved with our work please get in touch or come along to our next Working Party and
Annual Village Picnic 💚

Our fabulous team members Dean Westhorpe and Clive Smith will be leading a Working Party on the Green next Saturday and would welcome any volunteers from the local community.

If you could spare an hour, or two.. or more we would be very grateful. Dean will be leading the session but no great skill is required, just enthusiasm to do your bit to help care for the Green 💚

The more support we receive, the bigger projects we can take on! 💚
