Colchester Blanketeers

Well what a busy morning we had we certainly did our exercise had our Banana and Costa to get us going, emptied the cage and delivered all your wonderful blankets, Teddies and Twiddles to all the wards, they were so appreciative and we had some lovely comments we even had a lady shout out to us accross the road hey “The Wonderful Blanketeers”. How lovely that was!!!! We then filled the cage with all the blankets we received on Saturday ready for the next delivery.

Here’s 2 more lovely Blankets made by my dear friend Mandy Edevane who I struggling everyday due to Bereavement but me introducing her to Blanketeers is helping she couldn’t crochet before she lost her Dear Husband but is going great guns and here’s two more. Unfortunately she works so cannot make meetings.

Dear Blanketeers I have received communication from the office that puts the car registration numbers on the system and they that some of them are illegible/ not clear so could we make sure that we all write the registration numbers on more clearly please as they will not be responsible for any parking tickets received, now the parking system has changed that is the only way we can do it the poor receptionist at the Hospital is so good to us and he has to enter everyone of the regs into the system separately. Thank you all very much x

Congratulations to Rachel who has learnt to crochet and produced a beautiful blanket for the Duke of Edinburgh Award what an achievement well done you should be so proud Blanketeers are certainly proud of you and your blanket will be treasured, and bring so much comfort thank you x
