Whether balancing military service alongside civilian careers, education, family life or business commitments, Reservists make a vital contribution to the Armed Forces and our nation's defence.

They bring valuable skills, experience and professionalism to every role they undertake, demonstrating their commitment to service both in and out of uniform.

We are proud to recognise and thank all Reservists, including those within the Airborne Forces community, for the important role they play throughout the year.

After the massive success of Airborne Forces Day 2024, the Tayside Branch of The Parachute Regimental Association is proud to announce that Airborne Forces Day is returning to Dundee in 2026 — bigger, better and packed with even more family fun!

This year we’ve added FREE family fun attractions alongside our spectacular Freefall Parachute Display, stalls, marching bands, WW2 Military Vehicles, hot food and beer tent!

On 6 June 2026, a team of serving paratroopers took on an incredible challenge, running 40 miles from Aldershot to London to raise money for SUPPORT OUR PARAS.

Determined to make a real difference, they almost doubled their original fundraising target, raising an outstanding £1,974 to support our Airborne family.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this mammoth effort. Your commitment helps ensure those who have gone before are never forgotten, while providing vital support for the next generation.

Serving PARA Peter has set himself the challenge of completing four endurance challenges over the next few months, one for each battalion of The Parachute Regiment.

His aim? To raise as much as he can for SUPPORT OUR PARAS.

Over the weekend, Peter took on the Army Benevolent Fund's Cateran Yomp, a 54 mile tab across wild parts of Scotland that must be completed in 24 hours. He completed 36 miles and was awarded a silver medal for his first event.

Peter has already raised over £2,000 but that's just half of the target he has set for himself. Please get behind his fundraising and donate what you can. Even the cost of a coffee, or your Friday night pint, can help make a difference to the lives of those we support.

Behind every number is a conversation, a connection, and support when it was needed most.

In just the first three months of the year, our Welfare team provided £64,151 in financial assistance and made 1,133 phone calls offering assistance, totalling over 82 hours.

Our Beacons team have supported 10 veterans from all four battalions who took part in a mix of operational tours during service.

Our Career Transition Officer has supported 17 service leavers from all 3 regular battalions about their future civilian careers after the leave The Parachute Regiment.

Every one of these engagements was made possible through the generosity of our supporters.

Come and meet the ponies, Peg and Bruno, and pick yourself up some ally merch at the charity stand in the military village. You could even bag yourself your own teddy Peg to take home!

Suffolk Show 2026

The weather is looking glorious for this year’s Suffolk Show.

If you’re heading to the show this year, do stop by the military village to say hello to the team. We will have a wide selection of merch available to buy to show your support, as well as a selection of deactivated weapons for you to look at and learn more about life in the reg.

Regimental mascots, Pegasus and Bruneval, will also be with us for you to meet.
