Community360

Community360 Community360 is a charity connecting, supporting and developing communities across Essex.

Through innovation and inclusion, we tackle transport poverty, boost wellbeing and empower all generations to thrive. Community360 are an independent, charitable infrastructure organisation whose aim is to inspire groups to seize opportunities and become more enterprising and sustainable. Established in 1968 to assist charities, voluntary and community organisations in Colchester and Braintree (30

0+) through any activities which provide representation, enable development, encourage liaison, nurture strategic partnerships and provide support to promote voluntary action. Our frontline services are developed in response to local needs and not only assist established community groups but are designed to address unmet needs, with project development defined by the communities we work with to improve their outcomes and life opportunities. These include Community Development, Community Transport, Shopmobility, Volunteer Centre, Timebank and Community Accounts. We signpost members of the public, provide training for low level skills, apprenticeships and volunteer recruitment. Groups receive assistance on fundraising, business planning, constitutions, policies/procedures, monitoring/evaluation and Quality Marks.

Join us at our Macmillan Community Voices Workshop - Exploring the experiences of people living with cancer – Adults with Learning Disabilities Community.

Our in person workshop in Braintree Essex, will bring together those that we have been working with, and talking with, who represent adults with learning disabilities. We'll discuss the themes and feedback that we've gathered to date and look at how we can collectively bring about positive change in their cancer care experiences.

With attendees from a wide range of voluntary and professional services, we hope to also be joined by carers of loved ones who wish to contribute to this important conversation. The Macmillan Community Voices team have met with partners who have helped shape the agenda for the day, focusing on topics that are considered of highest priority.

Please note that this workshop will include challenging cancer related conversations that may be difficult to hear or overwhelming. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] or call us on 01206 505250 if you would like to learn more about the day.

Booking essential, please do so via https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/exploring-living-with-cancer-adults-with-learning-disabilities-tickets-1989379990103?aff=oddtdtcreator

Did you miss our Macmillan Coffee Morning this May?

It was a great morning, from the homemade bakes to the laughter and conversations shared over coffee. We enjoyed some lovely music and many amazing bakes, including a lemon and mascarpone cake, which won our best bake prize!

If you weren’t able to join us this time, be sure to keep an eye out for details of our next Macmillan Coffee Morning—we’d love to see you there!
