This week's photo of the week was taken by Mick Clark. Introduced to the UK in the 19th century, the diminutive little owl can now be seen along hedgerows, on farmland and in parkland across England and Wales. It often perches on a pole or rock, looking out for its unsuspecting prey.

While many of us are sleeping, badgers are hard at work exploring woodlands, grasslands and hedgerows... or causing mischief.

This , we're celebrating one of the UK's most iconic yet elusive mammals.

The footage in this video was captured on a wildlife camera by the Saveall family in 2021.

Not seen a badger before? You can get closer to them at one of our badger-watching evenings at Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park - EWT, 2026 dates are sold out, but keep an eye out for 2027 badger watching evenings.
