With all the University of Essex students wealth of knowledge and experience from all over the world, the Human Rights Society believes we can best learn from each other about the real and personal implications of upholding and violating human rights. The Human Rights Society does not affiliate itself with any political or religious group or organisation. All opinions are welcomed as long as they
are respectful to other speakers. The concept of human rights is also under discussion in our meetings and events, along with the practicalities of using human rights as a discourse to help improve a situation, and whether or not, as a discourse it is a useful tool for change.
