💛 MEET CLARE – THE PERSON BEHIND OUR PRE-LOVED UNIFORM 💛

You might have seen us mention our pre-loved uniform before, but you might not know about the person behind it all!

Meet Clare Williams, who has been looking after Myland PTA’s pre-loved uniform for the past two years.

Clare sorts and stores the uniform that is kindly donated, keeps track of what we have available and helps families find the sizes and items they need. At the moment, she has plenty of uniform looking for new homes!

It’s a brilliant little service that helps Myland families save money, gives perfectly good school uniform another life and helps reduce waste at the same time. ♻️

Clare is passionate about getting the uniform out of her garage and onto the children who actually need it and we’d really like to help her do that.

So going forward, we will be shining a bit of a spotlight on our pre-loved uniform: what we have, how you can order it, how you can donate and how you can get involved.

A huge thank you to Clare for everything she does behind the scenes. 💛

📣 SAVE THE DATE – MYLAND PTA AGM!

📅 Tuesday 6th October
⏰ 7:30pm

Our Annual General Meeting is our chance to look back at everything we achieved together last year, share and confirm our plans and event dates for the year ahead. We also hear from the school about their wish list of things they’d love PTA fundraising to help provide.

As a registered charity, we need three named committee positions in place for Myland PTA to continue running, so the AGM is the time we review and appoint to those roles.

But most importantly, everyone is welcome.

Been meaning to get involved but life keeps getting in the way? Come along.
Got a little one who’s just started in Reception? Come along.
Your children are older and you’ve never been involved before? Still come along!
Just curious about what the PTA actually does? You’re very welcome too. 😊

There’s absolutely no expectation that coming to the AGM means signing yourself up for a job. You can volunteer regularly, help occasionally, share an idea, find out more, or simply come and listen.

Whatever capacity you’d like to be involved in, we’d love to see you there.

🎄✨ CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGNS ARE BACK! ✨🎄

We’ve registered with Cauliflower Cards again this year, giving your child the chance to turn their very own artwork into Christmas cards and other lovely gifts and keepsakes! 🎨❤️

Design forms have been sent home in school bags this week, so please read the instructions on the form carefully and then let your child’s imagination go wild! 🌟🖍️

They make brilliant Christmas gifts for grandparents, family and friends — and every order helps to raise money for Myland PTA. 💙💚💛

👆 Just look at some of last year’s amazing creations! We can’t wait to see what the children come up with this year. 😍

📅 All completed forms must be returned to school by Friday 2nd October.

Happy designing! 🎅🏻🦌⛄🎄

📅✨ DATES FOR YOUR DIARY! ✨📅

We’ve got lots planned for the year ahead at Myland! 💙💚💛

From discos and fairs to Elfridges, Break the Rules Day and more, there’s plenty to look forward to.

Save this post so you’ve got all the key dates to hand! 📌

We’ll share more information about each event as we get closer, including timings, tickets, volunteering and everything else you need to know.

💬 First up — our PTA AGM on 6th October at 7.30pm

Everyone is welcome to come along — you absolutely do not need to be joining the PTA to attend. Come and meet us, hear what we’ve been up to, find out what’s planned for the year ahead, share ideas or simply see what it’s all about.

We really do need all the help we can get, whether that’s joining the committee, volunteering occasionally, helping at one event or just lending a hand when you can. Every little bit makes a difference.

We hope to see lots of you throughout the year! 🌟

✨ What Does the Myland School PTA Fund? ✨

A warm welcome to all our new families joining the Myland School community! 👋💙

Have you ever wondered where PTA fundraising money goes?

Every raffle ticket, school disco and event helps us provide extra experiences, equipment and treats for all children across the school.

Thanks to your support, the PTA helps fund:
🚌 Coaches for school trips
📚 Book bags for pupils
🥚 Easter treats
🎓 Year 6 leavers’ gifts
📱 iPads and technology
🌳 Forest School equipment and resources
🛝 Playground equipment and improvements
⭐ One-off wishlist items requested by the school

Every penny raised goes back into enhancing school life and creating memorable experiences for our children. Whether you’re a new parent or have been part of the school community for years, thank you for helping us make a difference.

Together, we can continue to support Myland School and give our children even more opportunities to learn, play and thrive. 💙💛

Watch this space for information about our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). We’d love to see you there!
