Whilst this book club is free to attend, we ask that you please book your space via the link in our bio as there is only limited space in the venue.

Open to our fabulous q***r community and allies, this is a safe space to come and enjoy everything about books. Whether you are a seasoned reader or regular book group attendee.

Each month there will be a new book (chosen by a group vote) for the group to read where we can follow up next month to have discussions and socialise with our fellow book lovers.

You can pick up the book at who are supporting pride and provide a discount for book club members on that month’s book.

Do you enjoy board games? Or are you interested in meeting more people from the LGBTQ+ community? Then come join Colchester Pride at the Dice and a Slice Café for a very informal evening of chat and Ga(y)mes!

We are thrilled to be partnering with Dice and a Slice to offer this FREE monthly event to our community!

We know not everyone in the community wants to go to pubs/clubs etc so we are aiming to bring you a variety of events where you can meet new friends and connect with the vibrant LGBTQ+ folk we have here in Colchester. However you identify on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, we are here to provide you a safe, welcoming and fun space!

There won’t be set games to play, it will be decided on people’s interests on the night.

Attendance and game play is FREE! Just book your place at the link in our bio!
Refreshments can be brought from the wonderful Dice and a Slice team.

Celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) today, May 17th.

However divided a society, there can be no room for bigotry and hate.

Today, we send our love to all of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

Our committee representatives, James, Paul and Tom, had a wonderful time attending the KAVS Celebration of Essex reception on the 29th April and it was lovely to reconnect with Lesley Scott-Boutell, who had kindly selected us as one of her chosen charities during her time as Mayor of Colchester.

The Celebration of Essex reception was an opportunity to recognise the work done by the nominated groups and the contributions to their local communities.

The event, held at the stunning Hatfield Place, was graciously hosted by Lord-Lietentant of Essex Jennifer Tolhurst and Ray Gooding, the Chairman of Essex County Council, and attended by representatives of the sixteen Essex organisations nominated for the King's Award for Voluntary Service.

We are so proud to have been nominated for this award and, again, thank our wonderful volunteers for their hard work and our community for its support.

Colchester Pride invites you to come and celebrate Pride month with a fun quiz hosted by fabulous local drag Queen, Constance Struggle & amazing local Drag King, Ace Spectrum.

Hosted at the wonderful Patch in Trinity Street Colchester, the evening promises to be an excellent night of quizzing with a drag performance and and raffle.

The night will be raising money for Colchester Pride who provide a wonderful main pride event along with many exciting events throughout the year to support and celebrate Colchester’s amazing LGBTQIA+ community.

The King's Award for Voluntary Service

We are incredibly proud to share that we’ve been nominated—alongside 15 other inspiring organisations from across Essex—for this prestigious honour, described as the MBE equivalent for voluntary groups.

As an organisation, we feel truly honoured—and immensely proud of our dedicated committee. Their passion ensures that Colchester Pride is not only a vibrant day of celebration, but a year-round programme of meaningful events. From social groups and community activities to our infamous fundraising balls and event to honour World AIDS Day, we’re committed to keeping our community connected, supported, and celebrated.

To our incredible volunteers, committee members, attendees, and allies—thank you. Your continued support is what makes Colchester Pride what it is, and always will be: a celebration of community. We’re so fortunate to be part of a city that shows us such unwavering love.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you again this year! Before our main event on Saturday 15th August, we’ve got a fantastic line-up including:
