Regarded as The Ultimate 10 Mile Endurance Race, the PARAS’10 is based on the 10 miler from The Parachute Regiment’s P Company test week. The first event of test week, the 10-mile march is conducted as a squad over undulating terrain with each candidate carrying a bergen (backpack) weighing 35lbs (plus water) and a weapon. Founded by WO1 JJ Wilson, The PARAS’10 was hosted by The Parachute Regiment

in Aldershot between 1982 and 1993. Since the Paras left Aldershot in 1993, this legendary event was dormant until it was revived by Major Sam McGrath in 2008 in Catterick, N.Yorkshire. Due to its success in Catterick the race was taken to the home of 16 Air Assault Brigade in Colchester in 2012. The unique selling point of these events has to be the military presence. We are grateful to have the support of The Parachute Regiment both in Colchester and Catterick to help with these events and to make sure the routes are ones that our soldiers have to train on. Both the Colchester and Catterick courses are on military land, which makes this an extra challenge for entrants on the day! The primary aim of The PARAS’10 events is raising funds for SUPPORT OUR PARAS, which is a charity that supports The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces through the welfare of veterans, serving soldiers and their families. Being able to raise funds whilst providing a challenging and enjoyable event, remains key to the events success. If you can't join us in person this year, why not take on a virtual PARAS'10?

PARAS'10 For the Fallen takes place this year between 7 and 14 November, and offers entrants the chance to honour those soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice during their event.

You can choose your own 10-mile route but you must be able to track it (using Strava, Garmin, Apple Watch etc.) in order to receive your medal.

All we ask is that you try and incorporate local war memorials along your route and pay your respects as you go.

Full details, including how to sign up, can be found on our webiste at https://paras10.com/events/virtual-paras10/

Catterick is only 150 days away...not that we're counting 🤪

That's plenty of time to get yourself signed up and training, ready to conquer the ultimate endurance race.

Come and test yourself against The Parachute Regiment's standards and help raise money to support our soldiers and their families.

All entrants get a finishers shirt, and you get the chance to have your medal presented to you by genuine airborne veterans. Where else can you get that?! 🏅

The PARAS’10 Catterick takes place on the same ground used to train British soldiers.

Mud. Hills. Fatigue. No shortcuts.

This is about grit, resilience, and proving something to yourself.
