What an incredible wave of support! 🎉 We’re so proud to celebrate some truly inspiring fundraising efforts from our local community 🧡

⛰️It is the season for getting those steps in! Thank you goes to Nicola and Alex Ross. They hiked 5 mountains in Picos de Europa region of Spain all to raise money for the hospice- raising so far an incredible £213.

🏃We are so thankful to Lisa and Emma who ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of the hospice. Raising so far a fantastic £1190. Another big thank you goes to Lis who also took part in the London Landmarks and has raised an incredible £629. Amazing effort from you all.

👟A massive shoutout to Rachael, Alisha, Anastasia, Amy and Luke 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ for completing the Hampshire 10K in aid of the hospice and raising a brilliant £675. Thanks all!

💯A huge thank you to sisters Liz & Claire for hosting an incredible quiz night fundraisier for St Helena raising £1,408. The event was well supported by family members, friends and colleagues of both Liz & Claire and they we're so grateful to have all the support making the event a huge success.

🏀Well done to Niamh, Andra & Sydney from Paxman Academy who organised a fantastic school fundraiser for St Helena Hospice. They hosted a fun netball match – girls’ netball team vs boys’ basketball team – with students donating to take part. They also baked delicious treats for extra donations. We can’t wait to see your next fundraising idea (and bring Saunders along to celebrate too!) Well done girls for raising £201.47.

⛳A heartfelt St Helena thank you to Rob Morgan and Sarah Fryer, Frinton’s Club Captains for 2025/26, who have continued the club’s incredible support for the hospice throughout their golfing season. This amazing partnership now spans over a decade and raised an almighty £5,500 for us!

🍻Thank you so much to Viv Booker and all the wonderful patrons at The Ship Inn Community Pub in Great Holland for raising £900 for their local hospice- cheers to you all.

🎳A huge thank you to Jo and the team at Handelsbanken for their fundraising networking event held at Hollywood Bowl Colchester.

❤️Thank you to the Rotary Club of Harwich & Dovercourt who have kindly donated £1000 to the hospice following their sad decision to close.

Every act of support brings comfort and care to those who need it most and we appreciate our brilliant community. THANK YOU🧡

As the weather starts warming up, it’s got us thinking ahead to Open Gardens Weekend.

A chance to slow down, enjoy the garden and spend a summer weekend outdoors.

Join us at Springmead Garden on 13th & 14th June, where you’ll be able to:

🌱wander through the gardens
🌱sit and enjoy the surroundings
🌱visit the plant shed

We’re delighted to welcome Farleigh Hospice to Hospice Education - our collaborative initiative with St Elizabeth Hospice.

By working together, we’re expanding access to palliative and end-of-life education for staff, volunteers, and communities across our region.

This partnership enables us to share knowledge and expertise across hospice teams and offer accessible learning opportunities. It also gives us the opportunity to support healthcare professionals in providing high quality compassionate care.
