A First for Colchester Branch on Tuesday afternoon.
An Art class by lovely Sarah Underhay 23 members enjoyed painting an autumn scene using acrylics on canvas. Everyone enjoyed this new experience and were both surprised & delighted with their results.

Our next Friendship walk is on Wednesday 7th October starting at11.15am from the Manningtree end of Mistley walls near Kiln Lane bus stop. post code C0LL 1HP OS map ref TM109319 what 3 word boil.clipped.finder. this circular walk takes us to Old Knobbly country woodland and riverside walk. Possible lunch at the Crown in Manningtree. There is a bus from Colchester High Street outside the George at 10.42am that arrives at Kiln Lane bus stop at11.12am which returns to Colchester from across the Road. Next Tuesday afternoons social at Colchester Oddfellows, is for all those budding artists that have never given it a try. Sarah from Sunflowers Artistry will be coming to give an art class, follow Sarah's example as she paints a beautiful scene on canvas using acrylics. Anyone can do it, trust us we have tried, you will be pleased with your end result. Meet at Lion Walk Church for 1.30pm cost to members £5 for materials, Guest £7.50 See you there.

Our bus to walk on 16 September will start from Angle Court High Street at (stop GO) we will catch bus 55 at 10.38 to the Cherry Tree at Blackheath. The 2.3 mile walk will take us through Middlewick and Donyland Heath with some country lanes walking. Bring a packed lunch purchase a drink from the Olde Albion pub and either sit inside or on the banks of the river. Return buses from Rowhedge every 45 minutes.

Friendship Month Cruise - Over fifty members & friends enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the Orwell Lady. The weather was good albeit a bit windy. Everyone relaxed whilst tucking into their cream tea with beautiuful views of the Orwell estuary and good company.
