With adverse weather condition forecast on the coast for Wednesday 3 June and the cost of parking at nearly £8 for 4 hours. We have decided to moving our scheduled walk on Mersea Island to High Woods County Park in Colchester. Meeting in the Chanteralle car park in High Woods Country Park at 11pm Post code CO4 9RY. What 3 Words sleepy.ruby.soup for a 2.3 mile circular walk around Brinkley Grove and High Woods. You could join us via the No 52 bus starting at Stanway Lucy Lane South at 10.16 arriving at Pinecroft Garden Bus stop at 10.52 then walk to the car park. Please let us know if you are attending.

Our next walk on 20 May will be through the Wivenhoe Woods and along the river with lunch at either the Black Buoy, Greyhound or Flag decide on the day. We will catch the No 51 bus from Colchester High Street Angel Court (GB) at 10.36 you can join at stop(ja) in Queen Street at 10.38, Old Heath opposite Grange Way at 10.51 arriving at Essex University Quays at 10.56 and the South Courts at 11.06 where we will commence the walk. Bus return times are every 20 minutes from Wivenhoe. Please note the bus times above and ensure that you lets Paul or Diana know if you intend to join us.

Throughout our long and storied history, we've had many well-known members. Even royalty! 👑

In his early 20s, King William IV stumbled across an Oddfellows meeting at the Feathers Pub, Pimlico. Not only did he insist on becoming a member instantly, but also the Branch’s Chairman. Who could say no to royalty? He became a lifelong member.
