Manningtree Earth Festival begins TOMORROW! 🌿
With 60+ events across the local area between the 23rd May and the 30th June, this is the perfect opportunity to explore what can be done to keep Manningtree, and the rest of the planet, healthy 🙌 We're hosting a few interesting talks and events at The Red Lion during the Earth Festival, as well as The Pizza Place launching a limited-time-only pizza that will be available whilst the festival is on 🍕
Tuesday 26th May, 7:30pm - "Don't Fight the Land that Feeds You" film screening: A unique opportunity to view and discuss this film by local filmmaker Marley Karazimba about Essex Land workers.
Monday 8th June, 7pm - Electric Vehicles, Photo-Voltaics & Heat Pumps: Interested in acquiring EVs, PVs and Heat Pumps? Come along to PACE's Q & A evening for a discussion with people with lived experience of them.
Tuesday 9th June, 7:30pm - Poetry Workshop & Reading Evening: Poetry reading evening on the subject of The Earth.
Sunday 14th June, 12-2pm - Manningtree Repair Cafe: Bring household items to be repaired, extending their life and helping to reduce waste.
Monday 22nd June, 7pm - Bees Create and Deer Destroy - how to get the best out of both: Two talks all about bees and how wild deer can be controlled and provide ethical venison.
Monday 29th June, 6:30pm - Sustainability Talk: Biodynamic farming: Spencer Christie at Lauriston Farm will discuss how biodynamic farming methods create a self sustaining farm organism.
