Dreams For Hope's mission is to build and deliver beds to children who do not have a bed to sleep in, by working in conjunction with local charities thus fostering a sense of community and charity.

✨ 47 beds delivered by the end of March.

(Original target: 30 beds)
Because of the support from our trusted partners, 47 children and families now have a safe, comfortable place to sleep.

That’s 47 fresh starts. 47 moments of dignity. 47 acts of hope.

We are so grateful to our trusted referral partners who help us reach families when they need us most. We couldn’t do this without you.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of The National Lottery Community Fund

They have awarded our little charity a very generous donation of £19,980 to continue our work in alleviating bed poverty!

While we’re building beds, children are sleeping without one 🛌

That’s the reality of bed poverty in the UK 🇬🇧

1 in 10 children in the UK doesn’t have a bed of their own.

No child chooses to sleep on the floor.

Bed poverty is real, and this is the work we are doing behind the scenes to change it 🌟

�According to Barnardo’s research, over 1 million families in the UK have had to give up their own beds so their children have somewhere to sleep and an estimated around 700,000 children are sharing beds and 440,000 are sleeping on the floor because they don’t have a bed of their own. 💔🛏️ Barnardo's

Did you know that over 20,000 kids across Surrey suffer from bed poverty?

Dreams for Hope is an exciting new charity on a mission to provide beds to children and young people who don't have a safe, comfortable bed of their own.

They are dedicated to alleviating bed poverty in the Borough of Elmbridge (where it is estimated over 2600 children do not have bed of their own to sleep in) and are looking for Bed Assembly volunteers.

You don't have to be DIY proficient; just to know your way around an allen key! Your own car is beneficial and travel expenses will be reimbursed.

That’s why we focus on one simple thing. Providing a bed to give a child comfort, rest, and a space to call their own.

Amazing day, providing some sunshine (and hope) in an otherwise dreary day to EIGHT children.
Two lovely little girls in Runnymede (big shout to Oasis Charity) and six fantastic children in Elmbridge (massive thanks to Spurgeons). HUGE delivery day bringing our total for the year to 48 beds.
On target for 80+ this year and God willing, double that next year.

Since our last post, our little charity has been extremely busy in pursuit of our mission to alleviate
Demand has picked up immensely through the intervention of our wonderful partners across North Surrey.

We have delivered eight beds in the last two weeks with another five to be delivered over the next week bringing our total to 40 beds since January.

Our target had been 50 beds on the year, but we are in a great position to surpass that total and hit our "blue-sky" target of 90! With special thanks to all our partners!
