Welcome to the West Midlands Volunteer Awards!

The Awards were established in 2016 to recognise and reward the invaluable work and significant contribution made by volunteers to the museum sector, organised by West Midlands Museum Development.

The Awards are part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust’s National Portfolio and Museum Development programmes funded through the Arts Council England.

The Awards are open to any individual or team who volunteer within an accredited museum (or working towards) located in Birmingham, the Black Country, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

Friday 24th May 2019 - nominations open

Monday 22nd July 2019 (9am) - nominations close

Thursday 1st August 2019 - shortlist announced

Wednesday 11th September 2019 - award ceremony at Birmingham Hippodrome
