I would assume these properties will e made over to AHBs for short term housing for those in need?

It is not clear how many properties will be purchased in the construction phase of the project, or how many of those will be demolished

Carbery Housing Association (Co. Cork, IE) is writing a Proposal for Interreg NWE for n Self Build Housing and Energy Communities (SEBHEC). We are looking for a small number of Pilot projects that can demonstrate during a 4 years period,. how communities can self build their own homes using accessible sustainable building systems (e.g timber frame) that can be mainstreamed. We have Partners in Ireland and France, but are looking for others in Belgium, Germany, Austria and Holland. Groups need to be able to begin building in 2024-25. Contact [email protected].

Cork County Council Public Participation Network (PPN) is Launching a process of consultation and co-design to develop a strategy for community Wellbeing in Cork County. Workshops will consider al issues, from housing, education, health, employment, and sports and how communities can jointly work with the Council to address these needs. Events will take place in all Municipal Districts; and are open to all communities. Please come!
