Want to help Roots continue to support Bristol's homeless but don't know where to start?

Consider hosting a dinner party like one of our volunteers Sam has here, who has cooked a Chinese feast to raise £150

Menu included:

- duck pancakes
- spring rolls
- satay chicken skewers
- smacked cucumbers
- ma po tofu
- aubergine in garlic and ginger sauce

We think this is genius! We might have you have you cook for us one week Sam!

Thank you 🫶🧡

Severe heat can kill and people on the streets are very vulnerable. During the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) the Wild Goose drop-in will be open to for longer (until 4pm) so that people can have shade and drinks during the hottest part of the day.

It’s time for our BIGGEST fundraiser yet!!

We want to fund Roots for a whole YEAR!

The cost of living is driving more and more people into relying on food banks and community support - it's affecting us too.

It costs £300 a week to keep our outreach running - and finding sources of funding is increasingly difficult.

Right now, we need your help more than ever.

We're fundraising to provide our weekly service for the next year - a vital source of food and connection for Bristol's homeless community and those struggling in hardship.

But we can't do it without you.

Whether you’re a business and you can sponsor us, an individual who wants to donate a few quid a month or maybe you can just shout it from the rooftops?

Read all about it here:

We're raising funds to continue our long-running weekly service for the next year - providing vital outreach to those who need it most.

Bit of rain never stopped us, did it eh! ☔️

Wet & windy last night but the show must go on.

We fed at least 96 and ran out of everything, which is really horrible when people arrive wet and cold and all the food has gone.

There have been messages about nasty batches of spice circulating and we’re definitely noticing the effects - people are arriving looking really dreadful and we’re just relieved we can hopefully get some good nutritious food into them.

Sausage and bean casserole, mac and cheese and sausages, sweet potato and veggies with onion gravy were on the menu and gratefully received ☺️

If you’d like to support us in any way, please get in touch - we’d love to hear from you! 🧡
