A place to call home

Three years ago, Jacqui moved into her shared ownership home in Swadlincote and hasn't looked back.

After selling her previous property, she was able to purchase a 25% share in a three-bedroom new-build home through NCHA's shared ownership scheme, giving her the independence, security and affordability she was looking for.

Today, she enjoys a spacious, energy-efficient home close to her children and grandchildren and has the peace of mind of knowing she's living in a home she can afford.

Work is underway on a brand-new affordable housing development in Arnold.

The £6m scheme will transform the former Leivers Court site into 30 new homes, including supported accommodation for young people and affordable family homes for the local community.

Delivered in partnership with East Midlands Combined County Authority, Gelder Group, Gedling Borough Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, the development will help more people access a safe, secure place to call home while supporting young residents to live independently.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

This World Homelessness Day, we're highlighting the support delivered to families, through our partnership with Nottingham City Council.

Working alongside the council, we provide safe, stable accommodation and practical support to help families who are experiencing homelessness, helping them move towards a permanent home.

One customer told us:
"The staff here make me feel safe and supported, and I truly appreciate their efforts and hard work. My support worker has been extremely kind, helpful and supportive at all times."

World Mental Health Day is a reminder that help is always available.

Every day, our dedicated Customer Wellbeing Team supports people across Leeds through the NHS 111 mental health service, delivered on behalf of Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Available 24/7, the team helps people access the right support when they need it most, providing compassionate, tailored support during some of life's most difficult moments.

We're incredibly proud of the difference they make every day.

People in Leeds are now routinely contacting NHS111 as a first port of call for their urgent mental health needs. This follows the introduction of the NHS111 mental health service in May 2024 which routes people through to professional call handlers (some of whom are pictured) employed by Nottingham Community Housing Association.

The NHS111 mental health service is being highlighted ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2026. The annual campaign aims to remind everyone why good mental health is so important, that conversations about mental health really do make a difference, and to encourage people to talk openly and seek help when they need it.

We're incredibly proud to have been shortlisted in two categories at last night's Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026.

While it wasn't our night to take home the top prize, being recognised alongside so many inspiring individuals and organisations is a fantastic achievement in itself.

A huge congratulations to Gabriella on being shortlisted for Mentor of the Year, and thank you to everyone at Access Training (East Midlands) and NCHA who helps support apprentices to develop, grow and succeed.
