Cool, cloudy and a bit drizzly for this morning's beach clean - the heatwave has definitely gone. We had 22 volunteers today, nearly all regulars, collecting 21 bags of rubbish from the beach and surrounding areas. Thank you very much everybody and thank you to our Ranger Colin for stepping in at the last minute. The next beach clean is on Sunday 30 August

Nice sunny morning with just a light breeze today. With lots of rubbish on the beach after recent rough seas, 22 volunteers, (nearly all of them regulars), collected 23 bags of rubbish plus a mooring buoy and other big debris, including a large amount of plastic mesh. That may have come from the work on the sea defences at Anchorsholme. Thank you very much for your contribution everybody and thank you Alison, Coast and Countryside Manager, for coming along to see how we work. Our next beach clean is on Sunday 16 August

On a glorious summer morning, thirteen of our regular volunteers came along today and we collected fourteen bags of rubbish from the beach and surrounding areas.
