Tuesday 17th March 2026 - Lodge Old Monkland St. James No. 177 Continued Support of Royal Hospital for Children

The Lodge continued their support of the Royal Hospital for Children (formerly Yorkhill Hospital); where they previously helped pay for the Schiehallion Unit to help enhancement used for the assessment and treatment of children with complex needs

Each year members and friends of the lodge continue to support the Schiehallion Unit by donating Easter Confectionery, books and pencils for use by the children during their confinement in the hospital and below is a photograph of Office Bearers and members with this years donation

Saturday 14th March 2026 - Installation of Grand Superintendent of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Lanarkshire Middle Ward

RWPGM Andrew D Millar headed a deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge accompanied by DPGM Norman Carnegy and SPGM’s Bobby Ferguson & Colin Campbell to MEC Grand Superintendent, Gordon K McAlpine Installation Ceremony.

The Installation ceremony was on the very capable hands of ME Grand First Principal W. Ramsay McGhee, Office Bearers and Deputation from Supreme Grand Chapter.

There was a large presence from the Sister Province Grand Superintendents; Heads of Orders and Deputation from the Sister Orders and companions who supported the installation on the day from within and outwith the Province.

A fine day and we wish all at Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Lanarkshire Middle Ward all the best for the Commission and looking forward to strengthening the relationship between our Orders in the coming months and years.

Friday 13th March 2026 - Visit by French Brethern to Ayrshire Province

SPGM Colin Campbell accompanied a large deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire headed by RWPGM Jim Bell and PPGM Archie Chambers to Lodge St Matthew Kilwinning No. 549 to welcome into the Province 23 French golfers in the area as part of the Delta Cup Scottish tour of Ayrshire.

SPGM travelled to Ayrshire with the 2nd Grand Principal of the Supreme Holy Royal Arch of France Denys Tortochot and Grand Superintendent of Toulouse Alain Huppé and his Scribe who were visiting for the Installation of Grand Superintendent Gordon McAlpine of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Lanarkshire Middle Ward on Saturday.

Brother Andy Kirkland from Robert Burns Mother Lodge, Lodge St David (Tarbolton) No. 133 also joined the deputation welcoming the French Brethern.

Following a warm welcome the Brethern of the Lodge carried out a fine rendition of the Entered Apprentice Degree and joined them in Lodge Harmony.

SPGM Colin Campbell would like to thank RWPGM Jim Bell for allowing him the opportunity to join his deputation and the RWM and Brethern of St Matthew Kilwinning No. 549 for the warmth of the welcome and hospitality.

11th March 2026 - Annual Visit and Presentation of 70 Years Diplomas

The annual visit of PGL Lanarkshire Middle Ward to Lodge St Clair 427. PGL delegation headed on this occasion by DPGM Bro Norman Carney accompanied by the PGM Bro Andrew D Miller.

The RWM Bro David Arbuckle and degree team performed an exemplification of the FC Degree on one volunteer candidate before the PGM and RWM presented Bros William Haggart and Robert McPhail with their Platinum Diploma's and Lodge medals for 70 year's service to freemasonry.

The night was witnessed by some 43 brethren from a number of lodges and a harmony was enjoyed thereafter.

Junior Provincial Grand Chaplain Alexander Hamilton headed a fine deputation to the lodge on their Annual visit .

Following a warm welcome from the RWM Tom Brown and after the annual report was presented, the lodge carried out a first class exemplification of the Entered Apprentice degree by the office bearers without involving Past Masters .

After the meeting the deputation enjoyed harmony and fellowship with the brethren of the lodge

6th March 2026 - Annual PGL Installation

Provincial Grand Lodge held their Annual Installation ceremony at Tabernacle Lane, Cambuslang.

Following a fine Installation ceremony by RWPGM Andrew D Millar and DPGM Norman Carnegy the following Brethern were presented with their Grand Lodge of Scotland Honours including Jewels and diplomas by RWPGM and the relevant Right Worshipful Masters.

Lodge Airdrie St. John No. 166 Annual Charity Cheque Presentation.

Following the Regular meeting of the Lodge on the above date the RWM Bro. Leslie Humes joined the brethren of the Lodge in Harmony and thereafter presented the 2026

Charity Cheques to the following recipients: -

Guide Dogs Scotland
St Andrews Hospice,
Lanarkshire Cancer Care,
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, MND Scotland,
Macmillan Cancer Support, Parkinson’s Self-Help Group, Meningitis Research Foundation Scotland, Maggie’s Lanarkshire,
The Moira Anderson Foundation and Erskine, who each received cheques for £200

A total of a phenomaal £2,200

Each representative gave an update on the work of their own organisation and in turn thanked the Lodge for their generous donations.

It was also noted that since the presentation had been introduced in the year 2001 the Lodge had presented in excess of £61,000 in funds to Non-Masonic Charities as well as support for other organisations throughout the various years.

The RWM Bro. Leslie Humes thanked the representatives for their attendance and their ongoing work in their own field.

Monday 2nd March 2026 - Annual Visit to Lodge St. Andrew Strathaven No. 215

SPGM Colin Campbell headed a fine deputation to the Lodge on the Annual visit, following a welcome by RWM George Bunch the Lodge carried out a fine rendition of the Fellow Craft Degree.

It was noted and a delight to see that the Lodge now display, at their meetings, a display frame of the late PM Stuart McNiven’s Past Provincial Grand Senior Wardens Regalia, PPGSW Jewel, Past Masters Jewel and portrait.

A fine and fitting display in Brother Stuart’s memory.

Saturday 21st February 2026 - Annula Installation of Lodge Glassford No. 1231

SPGM Colin Campbell headed a deputation to the annual installation of Lodge Lodge Avon Glassford No. 1231. RWM Daniel “Donny” Robertson was installed in fine form by Andrew Rutherford and Phillip Davies both Past Masters of Lodge Biggar Free Operatives No. 167.

It was nice to see a fine deputation from Tyneside in attendance and with a Welsh Installing Master and English deputation, there was not much Rugby chat at the Harmony 😉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

Following the Ceremony there was a fine meal and customary speeches and harmony.
