Thank you to our lovely members John and Pauline who donated these two bright and beautiful Sunflower ornaments for our Annie Chapple Community Garden! 🌻🌻
It is great to see the community getting involved, contributing and taking pride in what we are trying to build for them πŸ’™

We are still in need of regular gardening volunteers to spare an hour keeping it tip top and tidy… if you can help, we’d love to hear from you πŸͺ΄πŸ‘πŸͺπŸ«œπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ

Crossing the Finish Line for Friendship! πŸŒ‰πŸ‘£

What an incredible summer it has been for Harriet and her inspirational group of friends! As part of their Humberside Police Lifestyle Project, these fantastic girls completed their final fundraising challenge on Sunday: a sponsored walk across the iconic Humber Bridge!Looking at the photos from the day, their big smiles and determination say it all. From gardening and car washing to local litter picks and spending quality time completing jigsaws with isolated residents, these girls have poured their hearts into making our community a brighter place.

This bridge walk marks the perfect finale to their summer of hard work before they head back to school. We are truly honoured and deeply grateful that they chose to raise vital funds for Friendship At Home to help us tackle loneliness and isolation across our area. Each and every one of them is an absolute credit to their parents, their schools, and our entire community.

They may be heading back to the classroom, but their impact will be felt for a long time to come. It’s not too late to show your support for their amazing journey! If you'd like to help them boost their final fundraising total, you can still chip in here:πŸ‘‰ Donate via PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/GB/fundraiser/charity/3225815 Join us in giving Harriet and her team a huge round of applause in the comments below! πŸ‘β€οΈ

Our Annie Chapple Community Garden was receiving some TLC once more from Mick Swales and friends who volunteered their time and efforts to plant up some more herb and flower beds, install a new water butt and build the greenhouse πŸͺ΄πŸ
We then had a visit from Jaime at Wickes who had very generously donated the raised planters, greenhouse and much more besides, to see how it was all shaping up!
Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who is making our dream of a community garden come true πŸ’š

If you like to potter around the garden and would like to help with the upkeep and maintenance of the garden, we are looking for some gardening volunteers to regularly pop along and keep everything alive πŸ₯€πŸŒ·πŸŒΌβ˜ΊοΈ
