As we celebrate , we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single volunteer who has been part of the Friendship at Home family over the past 20 years.

What started with just one volunteer and a vision to support older people across North East Lincolnshire has grown into a wonderful team of more than 130 dedicated volunteers who give their time, kindness and compassion to others every day.

Our volunteers work tirelessly to prevent loneliness and social isolation, ensuring that older people in our community feel seen, heard, valued and cared for. Through companionship, friendship and support, they make an incredible difference to the lives of some of our most vulnerable residents.

To show our appreciation during Volunteers' Week, we were delighted to treat our volunteers to a lovely meal at The Punchbowl in Cleethorpes, where each volunteer received a certificate of thanks and a small token of our never-ending gratitude.
The impact our volunteers make cannot be measured. Their selflessness, dedication and generosity are at the heart of everything we do. Quite simply, without them, Friendship at Home could not do what it does.

To all our past and present volunteers: thank you for being the backbone of Friendship at Home and for helping us create a kinder, more connected community over the last 20 years. Here's to you!

πŸ’™ Happy Volunteers' Week πŸ’™

Another sad day for Friendship At Home (not another one 😭) as we say farewell to our admin apprentice Ashlee.
Ashlee has been an absolute legend, both professionally and personally. She has excelled in her role and has had such a huge impact on not only the many members she has come into contact with, but on us as a team also.
She has been a delight to work with, and we are lucky to have shared some fab memories with her. From winning awards for her apprenticeship, helping Penny to dance at the Christmas party, supporting countless members on the day trips and a water fight on her last day - there are too many to recount - but each memory will treasured.
We still have at least one more memory yet to be made, as Ashlee along with Beth, Julie and Dave, are taking part in our charity Parachute Jump in July to raise funds for Friendship At Home to celebrate our 2oth Year in the community.

You can support Ashlee and the crew and help us tackle loneliness by visiting the Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/fahskydive...

As she moves on to her next chapter in life - we wish her nothing but the absolute best!
Ashlee - you are the brightest star ... keep on shining 🌟🌟🌟 We will miss you - Team Friendship πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

We would like to reassure all of our older people that we support, that services and clubs will continue as usual. We will not let one persons horrible actions effect what we stand for and what we have fought for every day for the past 20 years πŸ’™πŸ’™

Very sad day for Friendship At Home ☹️ Unfortunately, our office at Aspen Court, Cleethorpes, was burgled between 5am -7am this morning. The place has been ransacked and the damage caused is devastating for us. 😭
We have cctv footage, and you can clearly see the person wearing work trousers with two high vis stripes at the bottom.
We have videos which are a little clearer than the screenshots too.

If anyone can help identify this person or live in the area and have cameras, please let us know so we can try and piece it all together and find the person responsible for robbing a charity that only ever tries to help our community πŸ’™
