β˜€οΈ Amber Heat Warning Update β˜€οΈ

With an amber heat warning forecast for this week, we will be carefully monitoring weather conditions across all of our Forest School and outdoor wellbeing sessions.

The safety and wellbeing of children, young people and staff will always come first. This means some session plans may need to change at short notice, including:

🌳 Using shaded woodland or outdoor spaces
πŸ’§ Increasing hydration and rest breaks
🌿 Choosing lower-energy activities
🏑 Moving sessions indoors where appropriate
⏰ Adjusting timings if necessary

Nature-based learning can still be incredibly valuable during hot weather, but it is important that activities remain safe and comfortable for everyone involved.

We appreciate the understanding and flexibility of the schools, nurseries and organisations we work with as we adapt to the conditions. Any significant changes to sessions will be communicated directly to settings as soon as possible.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and take care in the sunshine! β˜€οΈπŸŒ³πŸ’š

What a brilliant day Jen had at the final day of . Using the day as a fantastic learning experience for both herself and her 1:1 who is on an EOTAS package.

Brilliant day and a fantastic end was seeing Schools Challenge display and I got a sticker from the amazing Year 6s.

This week in Emma’s nursery sessions the children have been developing their wrist strength and also working on hand eye coordination by using hammers to drive nails into log slices. They then showed their creativity by weaving wool around the nails and then gathering natural materials to weave through their art work. I think you will all agree they did wonderfully πŸ”¨ 🌼 Reynolds Children's Day CareMini Explorers Childcare

For this weeks woodland babies and tots I’ve been asked to do another bear hunt 🐻. I’m not one to disappoint my little ones so that’s exactly what we will do. I’ve also decided to pair it with a teddy bears picnic. Make sure to bring along teddy and a snack. Wellies are advised as everyone knows a bear hunt requires traversing squelchy mud and splashing in rivers. Book your space via our bookwhen link found in our bio
