Increases to NHS Healthy Start scheme payments.

Last year, it was announced in the 10-year Health Plan for England (published in July 2025) that there would be an increase to the NHS Healthy Start payments from April 2026.
This uplift comes into effect in April 2026 and people on the scheme are being contacted with further information about their payments.

Payments for Children aged one to four years and for People who are more than 10 weeks pregnant have increased to £4.65 each week.

Payments for Children under one year old have increased to £9.30 each week.


Changes to the NHS Healthy Start schemes eligibility criteria.

Please note that some benefits are ending from April 2026 and some of these benefits were part of the edibility criteria for the NHS Healthy Start scheme. People who were in receipt of one of these benefits should have been contacted.

A very wholesome afternoon fruit tree planting at the Thornaby Hub, Clayton . Young people and parents planted fruit bushes and weeded the raised beds ready for vegetables, flowers and herbs to be planted. Many thanks to Alan at Fruitworks for such a kind donation of the bushes and time. And a big thankyou to everyone who came to help. Looking forward to watching them grow. 🌺🌼🌹🪻🌷
