Realise Futures Growing Places

RushFest, hosted by Leading Lives’ Rushmere Hub, showed what can happen when inclusion is planned in from the very start. We welcomed over 60 members of the public and people supported by Leading Lives, including our friends from Realise Futures’ Growing Places.
From flat access across the site and a flat access tent with a hoist, to a Changing Places facility and inclusive activities for people with a range of different abilities, the event was designed so more people could take part, feel welcome and enjoy the festival experience.
A special mention to Circable Circus School, who brought that spirit of inclusion to life by teaching circus skills to people of all abilities, giving everyone the chance to try something new and join in the fun. Thank you to Blooming Bell Tents, Friends of Rushmere and colleagues from across Leading Lives for helping make the day happen.
Accessibility and inclusion are not add-ons. They helped make RushFest a place where everyone could join in the fun and enjoy the festival spirit.

A big thank you to everyone who supported and attended our Open Day at Growing Places on 23rd July. The event was a great success and we enjoyed sharing our site with you. We look forward to welcoming you back to Growing Places soon!

MEAT Ipswich were delighted to donate gardening supplies to the allotment at Realise Futures Growing Places in Claydon! 🌿🌼

Growing Places does incredible work enhancing people’s lives through work placements, employment, and training opportunities, and we’re proud to support such a fantastic initiative.

Hannah and Trainer Andy, popped over to the unit to personally present the supplies. We can’t wait to see the allotment continue to flourish! 🌻🥕🌱

Bean judging at Growing Places!

Wellbeing Colleagues have been growing a variety of beans on their raised beds and we had a competition to see who's beans were the best. Congratulations to the winners! 🥇🥈🥉

There's less than a week to go until Growing Places Open Day 2026!

The weather forecast is looking favourable, and there will be plenty of free activities and games on site to keep the whole family entertained. There will also be lots of opportunities to browse and shop, as well as delicious pizzas available to purchase from Dolly's Pizza Van.

So why not come along and see what Growing Places is all about?

Entry is free and everyone is welcome. Whilst most activities are free we do recommend bringing some cash or loose change for activities such as the tombola.
