"No screen couple, before or since, had as much chemistry as Bogart and Bacall." Peter Bradshaw, Guardian

An all-time noir classic featuring Bogart & Bacall in the 1946 adaptation of Raymond Chandler's famous thriller.

Private Detective Philip Marlowe (Humphrey Bogart) is hired to investigate Carmen Sternwood (Martha Vickers) and the debts she owes to a shady bookseller. Her older sister Vivian (Lauren Bacall) becomes involved and tries to tell the shamus how to do his job. Several murders later, the complex narrative takes a new turn when Vivian receives a blackmail note that includes scandalous pictures of her sister. The storytelling is compelling, as is the chemistry between Bogie and Bacall.

"It's unmissable, irresistible." Philip French, The Observer

"The best scripted, best directed, best acted …film noir ever made."
Tim Robey, Daily Telegraph

In “Dreamers”, director Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor also draws on her own experience with the British asylum system.

"A bold and tender story well told, and elevated by its personal nature. This is a strong debut from Gharoro-Akpojotor — she’s one to watch." Amon Warmann, Empire Magazine

Audience Poll Winner 2026

"You'll never look at a green and pleasant pasture in the same way again after watching this." Cath Clarke: The Guardian

Based on Isabella Tree’s best-selling book by the same title, WILDING tells the incredible story of a young couple that bets on nature for the future of their failing, four-hundred-year-old estate.
They set to work with their groundbreaking vision, battling entrenched tradition and major forces along the way, daring to place the fate of their farm in the hands of nature. Ripping down the fences, they set the land back to the wild and entrust its recovery to a motley mix of animals both tame and wild. It is the beginning of a grand experiment that will become one of the most significant rewilding experiments in Europe and beyond.

"A lyrical, filmic rendition of Isabella Tree’s book. The stunning camerawork... and the fabulous wild-life photography that captures intimate portraits of the animals... make this film a joy for anyone who loves natural history documentaries." Saskia Baron, The Arts Desk
