Once Upon a Time in Suffolk is an anthology of new short films inspired by classic tales and Suffolk legends. Stories are the beating heart of Suffolk. These are tales of kindness and folly, of love and loss, of courage and consequence.

Sometimes funny, sometimes dark, but always heartfelt, these magical yarns celebrate Suffolk's people, places and stories.

Cinema in Stansfield presents Once Upon a Time in Suffolk

Stories are the beating heart of Suffolk. They live in the echo of footsteps through old churches, in the salt wind that rattles the windows of seaside cottages. These are tales of kindness and folly, of love and loss, of courage and consequence.

Cinema in Stansfield is delighted to have secured an early release screening of this brand-new film, which premiered at the Abbeygate in Bury St Edmunds on 4 September and has since played to sold-out audiences at the Riverside Cinema, Woodbridge, and The Cut, Halesworth.

Once Upon a Time in Suffolk is an anthology of new short films inspired by classic tales and Suffolk legends, produced by FILM Suffolk and tapping into the region’s emerging creative talents.
Filmed across Suffolk at a wide variety of distinctive locations that perfectly complement the stories. The films offer original twists on familiar tales. Sometimes funny, sometimes dark, but always heartfelt, these magical yarns celebrate Suffolk's people, places and stories.
