Last week we had the pleasure of delivering a creative dance and dementia training session for care staff and activity coordinators, sharing practical ideas, movement activities, and person-centred approaches to support meaningful engagement in care settings.
The energy in the room was fantastic, with participants getting involved, trying new activities, and exploring how dance and creativity can be used to bring connection, joy, and wellbeing to residents.
"The ladies were brilliant, got everyone dancing and laughing."
Our training received an average rating of 4.8/5, and we're excited to see the ideas and activities being taken back into care settings across the county.
A huge thank you to The New Deanery Care Home Braintree for hosting us and for their support in making the session such a success.
Thank you to the Compassionate Communities Grant from Braintree District Council for helping us deliver this project and reach more care professionals and older adults throughout Braintree.
