🌿 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – HELP US CREATE A NEW WILDERNESS AREA 🌿
Your support will make a huge difference!
Sailship Training & Learning for Life is looking for volunteers to join us in creating a brand new wilderness area as part of our National Lottery funded Nature Nurture Project! 💚
We need helping hands for:
🌱 Removing brambles
🌱 Clearing brushland
🌱 Loading waste for the tip
🌱 Weeding and garden maintenance
🌱 General site maintenance and outdoor tidy-up work
If you have any skills you’d like to share, from gardening and landscaping to conservation, DIY, carpentry, or practical outdoor skills, we’d love to hear from you too!
Whether you can spare an hour or a whole day, your support will make a huge difference.
Sailship Training & Learning for Life is a community-focused organisation supporting young people and families through outdoor learning, wellbeing activities, life skills, and hands-on experiences that build confidence, resilience, and connection with nature.
Our National Lottery funded Nature Nurture Project aims to create safe, natural spaces where people of all ages can learn, explore, relax, and improve their wellbeing through the outdoors. This new wilderness area will become a valuable community space for nature activities, environmental education, wildlife support, and mental wellbeing.
The work carried out by volunteers will also help us continue providing free activities and opportunities for the local community to enjoy. 💚
By volunteering, you’ll be helping us:

🍃 Encourage wildlife and biodiversity
🍃 Support wellbeing through nature
🍃 Provide outdoor opportunities for local young people and families
Bring yourself along! You just need sturdy footwear, outdoor clothes, and a willingness to get stuck in! 💪
