Last passouts of a very busy week.
Amelia and Bradley have both passed out on their Tier 2 assessments for the all weather lifeboat.
Operations manager Carlo said “ Amelia & Bradley make us proud, to see them both developing as lifeboat crew is inspiring. This will open more opportunities for them both, mechanics or navigation could be their next step”.
As the summer approaches and this hot weather spell continues we urge our community and visitors to look at RNLI water safety advice and be careful along our shoreline.
Stay hydrated, if you’re going afloat or in the sea, please let someone know and have a means of calling for help.

Massive congratulations to Alan (on left)for passing his D class navigators plan.
He’s spent the last few months working hard and has opened up more opportunities for his development.
From everyone at Clacton on Sea RNLI, well done Alan you deserve it.

We have another busy month ahead, our volunteers are undergoing further assessments.
Wednesday night saw our crews taking our D class out in some challenging conditions to practice boat handling.
When they got back they looked like they really enjoyed it, a bit wet but with very big smiles.

Our lifeboat operations manager went to church today.
Carlo went to St James to meet up with one of our volunteer crew members to present him with his pager.
Fr Matt Simpkins is the RNLI Chaplain for Clacton on Sea lifeboat and also crew.
His next role is to move from shorecrew to afloat crew.
Carlo said “to have a chaplain at our lifeboat station is something very special, to have a chaplain who is going to be lifeboat crew is very special.
As a station we are trying to build stronger links with our community and what better way to start than with the local church.”
Fr Matt is organising a mass on
Sea Sunday which is a global day of prayer, reflection, and appreciation for seafarers.
The mass is on Sunday 12th July.

Many congratulations to Bradley who has just been appointed as our new social media officer.
Bradley will be responsible for bringing our social media pages to life and promoting our lifeboat station.
Already crew on both of our lifeboats he will be able to get a “close up” aspect of the work our lifeboat station does.
Well done Bradley, good luck with your new role.
