🧡 A really special milestone for one of the young people we’ve supported.

This week, we had the privilege of helping one of our care leavers move into their very own home. 🏡

It’s a huge step towards independence and the start of a brand new chapter, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

We just want to wish them the very best of luck settling in, making the space their own and enjoying everything that comes with having a place to call home. 🧡

🧡 Really proud to be part of this work across Essex.

Through the Youth Resource Network, UTurn is helping make sure young people in Tendring have a voice, know what support and opportunities are available, and can help shape what’s needed locally.

It’s great to see the wider impact of the network, with Youth Resource Networkers now in every district, borough and unitary area across Essex. 🙌

We’re looking forward to continuing this work and making sure young people in Tendring are heard. 🧡

🧡 There’s been lots happening at UTurn over the last few weeks!

The team have been out delivering our new programmes across Clacton and Colchester, supporting young people through 1-to-1 mentoring and structured group programmes, welcoming new faces and keeping plenty happening at the Hub too.

We’ve also welcomed new members to the team, started more activities and have lots more planned over the next few months. 🥳

And we’re not quite finished with Holiday Club yet either. We still have two dates remaining over the October half term! 🎃🧡

🧡 We’ve had some amazing news and just had to share it!

We were absolutely over the moon when we found out UTurn had been chosen for the East of England Co-op Local Giving campaign at the Fronks Road store.

The team there have been brilliant from the start and we’ve now been told an amazing £1,006.65 was raised, with East of England Co-op adding another £150, bringing the total to £1,156.65! 🥹🧡

A huge thank you to the Fronks Road team and every single customer who supported UTurn. This money will make a real difference and help us continue supporting young people and families through mentoring, wellbeing support, activities and a safe place to come.

We honestly can’t thank you all enough. It really does mean so much to us. 🧡

Are you aged 18 or over and interested in starting a new career in the charitable sector?

We’re looking for confident, energetic and resilient people to join the UTurn team and support young people across Tendring and Colchester.

This is a hands-on and varied role involving one-to-one mentoring, group sessions, activities, schools and community outreach. No two days are the same!

Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, we’d love to hear from you.
