🎒📚 We’ve also received an amazing donation of of back-to-school bags, each packed with a fantastic stationery kit! ✏️📓

These will be distributed to parents or guardians of children heading back to either primary or secondary school 🏫💛

🌻 The Sunflower Pantry is all stocked up and ready for tomorrow!

We've had another super busy Monday filling our shelves with a fantastic variety of food and essentials, ready for all our members!

This week's FREE fresh fruit & veg includes:
🍅 Vibrant tomatoes
🍊 Sweet, juicy oranges
🥔 Tasty tatties
🥬 Huge cabbages

We also have a great selection of soups 🍲, lots of cheese 🧀, and plenty of FREE items, including a fantastic range of baked goods! 🍞🥐

⭐ This week's deals:
💎 For just 1 Diamond you can pick up a Chicken Korma & Pilau Rice and/or 6 bags of crisps! 🍛🥔
❤️ For just 1 Heart you can pick up FOUR toothbrushes plus a tube of Colgate toothpaste! 🪥😁

What a bargain! 🙌

🌻 We'd also like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Mo. She handcrafted beautiful little wooden sunflower keepsakes for our members, and everyone absolutely loved them. Such a thoughtful thing to do! 💛

Mo also presented us with an amazing £125 donation from our friends at The Forest at Merchiston, who raised the money during a dress-down day. What a fantastic boost for the pantry! Thank you so much to everyone involved, we're incredibly grateful for your kindness and support. 🥰

🌻 We've had an incredibly busy day getting the pantry shelves stocked up with a fantastic variety of food and essentials ready for tomorrow!🌻

First of all, we have to say a HUGE, HUGE thank you to Parsley Box for their incredible donation of 300 ambient ready meals! These dinners can be stored in a cupboard for up to 6 months, making them perfect for individuals and families who may not always have access to a fridge or freezer. The meals include lasagne, chicken curry, teriyaki chicken and even individual sticky toffee puddings! 😍

A special thank you must go to Andy, who kindly delivered every single meal in his own time and helped us bring them into the pantry, along with Nathan from Gate 55 who got stuck in to help too. This incredible donation will make a real difference to local people and families who access our service. A massive thank you also goes to Sophie from Sighthill Community Centre: Gate 55 for connecting us with Parsley Box in the first place. We really appreciate your support! ❤️

Here are just a few of the fantastic items we'll have available tomorrow at The Sunflower Pantry! 🥫🧀

Unfortunately, our usual weekly supplier didn't have any fruit or much veg available this week, but we've still got some brilliant fridge and cupboard items in stock. We did manage to get some tatties though, which will be perfect for baked potatoes or homemade wedges! 🥔

Plus, our freezer is packed with finger-lickin' chicken generously donated by KFC! 🍗💛

It's going to be a great week here at 🌻Sunflower Pantry Wester Hailes!

We've had very busy day stocking up our shelves, fridges and freezers, and we have a brilliant variety of food available this week. A huge thank you to our volunteer drivers, Mo and Thomas, for collecting donations from KFC and Morrisons in the Community at Edinburgh Gyle - Morrisons in the Community. 🚚

A special thanks also to Tess for organising our monthly trolley collection 🛒 it has made a huge difference this week and we're so grateful for your support! 🙌

🥔 Baby salad potatoes

Our Community Pantry shelves are a bit bare right now, and we can’t run without the amazing support of our local community.

Could your sports team ⚽, workplace 💼, community group 🤝 school or faith group ⛪ organise a wee collection for us?

Every tin, packet and jar makes a real difference to local people and even a small donation helps ensure families and individuals can access food when they need it most.
