Our final talk of this year's cycle is on Wednesday 27th May at Ashcroft Church 7.30pm. We will start with a very rapid AGM so encourage members to come along. Then we will hear about Cirencester - Map as Biography from Peter Vujakovic. Guests are welcome for £5 on the door.

Our next lecture is on the 25th February at the Parish Church at 7.30pm. This is the annual Croome lecture which is free to all but very popular so a suggestion of arriving at 7 to secure a seat. Dr Mary Bateman will be speaking on local place and the Arthurian Tradition in England and Wales.

A very Happy New Year to all our members and followers. Welcome to those who have joined in the last couple of months. Our first meeting of the year is our annual joint lecture with Cirencester Science and Technology Society on Wednesday 14th January at 7.30 the lecture will be at the Sir Emrys Jones Lecture Theatre, Royal Agricultural University. Dr Emlyn Dodd will be speaking about The Science and Technology of Roman Wine and Olive Oil Production.
There is plenty of parking on-site.

Our next lecture will be on Wednesday the 26th November at the Ashcroft Centre 7.30pm.

Mike Fenton will be speaking about the Stroud Valley Railway. The talk will also include some stories relating to the Kemble and Cirencester branch line and the mysterious Tetbury Road station. Free to members £5 for visitors.

A reminder that our next lecture will be next Wednesday 29th October and is part of Cirencester History Festival. If you are a member and subscribed for this year there are a few spaces left on the reserved for CAHS members batch. Julian Richards will be presenting a talk entitled Teenage Time Travel. At the earlier time of 7pm but at our usual location of Ashcroft Church. This event is designed for all ages and great for younger relatives. So it's fine for younger relatives to accompany adult members for free you just need to book.
Please share widely as we appreciate that younger archaeology fans may well not inhabit Facebook!

24th October - 2nd November. featuring a terrific programme of local, national and global history, with talks, family events and community activities.
