A visit from a lamb to the care home brought great joy and excitement to the residents. The lamb moved calmly around the lounge, allowing residents to stroke its soft wool and interact with it up close. Many residents shared fond memories of life on farms and caring for animals when they were younger. The visit encouraged conversation, laughter, and social interaction, Spending time with the lamb provided comfort, stimulation, and a wonderful opportunity. Thank you to Chloe's mobile farm!

For National Biscuit Day on Friday, we started with some exercises led by Adapt Fitness. Afterwards, we took part in a fun World Scrambler biscuit quiz and then enjoyed tasting a variety of different biscuits. We had to guess the names and flavours of the biscuits, which made the activity both challenging and enjoyable. Everyone had a great time taking part and learning about different types of biscuits.

The residents recently enjoyed a heartwarming visit from a collection of reborn dolls, bringing smiles, comfort, and conversation throughout the day. To celebrate the famous cheese rolling tradition at Cooper's Hill, we created our own makeshift version in the garden and spent the day enjoying a selection of delicious cheeses with family and friends. To make the occasion even more fun, we also organised a cheese-themed word scrambler quiz, which brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition to the celebration.

As part of the Men’s Club, PCSO Bev Rowe and PCSO Adam Grimett joined us for a cuppa and a friendly chat with everyone ☕🚓

The visit was a great success, giving residents the opportunity to get to know the officers in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Residents and staff also enjoyed sitting in the police car, seeing the flashing lights, and learning more about some of the equipment the officers use in their role.

One resident shared special memories and photographs of their dog who had trained with the police, leading to some wonderful conversations and stories being shared by all ❤️

A huge thank you to PCSO Bev Rowe and PCSO Adam Grimett for taking the time to visit and spend the afternoon with us — it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

This week, Tony and his puppets treated us to a wonderful ventriloquist show 🎭✨

Residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed watching the puppets talk, sing, and joke in their funny voices. Each puppet had its own unique personality, making the performance even more entertaining. There was lots of laughter, singing, and applause throughout the show, and Tony’s talent truly amazed us all.

Activities Coordinator Natalie and Administrator Jo even stepped in for a moment when Tony had to leave the room — making complete fools of themselves in the best possible way and keeping everyone laughing 😂

A truly creative, memorable, and enjoyable afternoon for everyone at the home 💖
